ARC Industrial Transformation Training Centre in Forest Value at University of Tasmania approved

The establishment of an ARC Training Centre provides industry with the opportunity to develop and retain new research resources . Funded for 5 years, the centre will focus on linking resource properties and management decisions to final market demands and ensuring that product requirements also align to current industry discussions around supply chain structures and efficiencies.

The ARC Training Centre will also support 3 new postdoctoral fellows and 12 PhD students over the 5 year period.

In addition to funding from FWPA, contributions were also received from Forestry Tasmania, Forico, SFM and Neville Smith Forest Products, Greening Australia, Island Workshops and the University of Tasmania.
