The second funding round of the Commonwealth Government’s Rural R&D for Profit program closed on 1 December. Three forest industry specific proposals were submitted via FWPA, each of these was a revised proposal based on unsuccessful bids from the 2014 round.
Each of the proposals which has been submitted to the Rural R&D for Profit Program is currently being evaluated by an expert panel. Panel recommendations will then be forwarded to the Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources for review, prior to the announcement of successful projects with a view that project-funding agreements will be finalised prior to 30 June.
Advisory Group Meetings
Meetings of the Market Access and Development and Wood Products Advisory Groups were held in late November and early December to review and rank project proposals, submitted for the 2015 funding round. Details of each of the projects supported by the Advisory Groups will be communicated when finalised.
