Forest Safety – a new data and communication resource

The Australian forest industry has a good safety record underpinned by a continuous improvement ethos.

To support that effort FWPA is working with the industry to develop national safety statistics that can be used by individual companies to track their safety performance. This project builds on an early pilot program run by AFPA and funded by FWPA.

As well as establishing an on-line portal to collect company safety data, a bulletin board will also be created to assist companies share safety alerts and other relevant safety information.
