Forest Safety Benchmarking Data Series Launched

The Forest Safety Benchmarking Data Series has been launched with 18 forest companies contributing 2 years of historic data. The data series aggregate each contributing company’s safety data to provide coverage of 10 safety metrics.

These include lead indicators such as near misses, contractor-audit frequency rate and overdue corrective actions frequency rate. Lag indicators cover such measures as Lost Time Injury (LTI) Frequency Rate, LTI Severity Rate and Truck Rollovers. For the first time the industry is now able to monitor on a monthly basis performance against these metrics, which are presented as an industry average and top quartile performance.
