FWPA’s Annual General Meeting will take place in Melbourne at 8am on 5 October as part of the FWPA/DANA Insights & Outlook Conference, with members invited to have their say in person or by completing proxy forms. Matters to be addressed include election of members to the Board of Directors. Auditors RSM Australia Partners will be available via teleconference to answer any financial or audit questions.
Jim Henneberry, Brian Farmer and Christine Briggs will be up for re-election as non-executive directors at the 2017 Annual General Meeting.
The vote comes after a formal selection process in which five candidates were shortlisted from 19 applications.
The FWPA Board’s Director Selection Committee were unanimous in deciding to recommend that the three, whose previous terms were due to expire, be re-elected.
The goal of the process was, as per the FWPA Constitution, to end up with a “balanced and skills-based board”.
Jim Henneberry is Chair of both Timberlands Pacific and Circa Group, and a former Chief Executive Officer of Australian Paper. Brian Farmer is the Chief Executive Officer of HQ Plantations. And Christine Briggs is General Manager, Marketing and Business Development for Timberlink Australia.
FWPA members are entitled to votes allocated proportionally for levies paid in the 2016 calendar year.
