Industry research funding boost from voluntary matching agreement

FWPA has been working in consultation with the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources to implement the new voluntary matching arrangements for industry-originated research proposals.

A new funding contract has been developed for projects funded under voluntary matching arrangements. This is a multi-party agreement based on the Government’s Rural Research and Development for Profit programme. An initial call for projects seeking funding under the voluntary matching program was announced via FWPA newsletters and trade press in March of this year.

Five projects have been contracted under this program and these have been sufficient to commit all of the available Commonwealth contributions for the 2015/16 year.
