Solid Wood Innovation funded for another two years

A joint initiative between the Australian and New Zealand industries and governments, Solid Wood Innovation (SWI) has secured funding for another two years.

SWI will continue to operate in essentially the same manner but the research focus will be more heavily weighted to deployment of technologies that have already been developed, or are a logical extension of those technologies.

The revised R&D plan merges Australian and New Zealand priorities and incorporates the results of consultative sessions between representatives of SWI and Australian companies and a presentation to and feedback from FWPA’s Wood Products Advisory Group.

Australian sawlog levy payers are entitled to access SWI research reports and receive briefings from researchers and program managers. Participants must enter into a non-disclosure agreement, available from SWI via the website link below.
