Big Data Pilot
A consultant has been appointed to work confidentially with a softwood processor to examine the potential of data aggregation. The project will include an initial review of the data being generated by the operation and an identification of opportunities for improvement. The final report is expected to provide a confidential analysis for the contributing company plus a broader assessment of the opportunities that might be generated for other processors.

Industry data aggregation projects – now in the final stage of quality control assessment of the 24 months of historic data before launch include:
Softwood data series weighted average price (5/5 companies)
Softwood Processors performance benchmarking pilot (4/4 companies have provided data for quarter ending March 2016 for 39 metrics)
Hardwood Data Series volume and weighted average price (10/10 companies)
Growers Data Series volume, delivered weighted average price, performance benchmarking (19/19 companies)
