VIRTUAL SILVICULTURE: Modeling the Impact of Thinning and Pruning on Eucalypt Plantations

New tool that allows growers, investors, processors and planners to model the impact of thinning and pruning on eucalypt plantations could boost production of high quality hardwood logs for appearance grade purposes.

TreeTOP has been developed over 12 months by MBAC Consulting Group as a means to encourage investment in thinning and pruning and in turn meet industry’s demand for large DBH logs with a high proportion of clearwood.
