This project designed a software system to facilitate efficient and precise plantation management, and developed a computer-based system and associated biometry to assist with the planning and management of the plantation estate in order to achieve desired wood flow and financial outcomes.
The following inventory components were developed as part of the Blue Gum Plantation Management System project:
- Prophecy inventory objects and associated system components to import/export, store, display, maintain and process inventory data;
- a field inventory data collection system, consisting of a generic blue gum inventory data collection process and a supporting field inventory data collection tool (a PocketPC plus inventory software).
