Sawing Regrowth & Plantation Hardwoods with Particular Reference to Growth Stresses Part A Literature Review.

Problems associated with severe growth stresses in regrowth and plantation wood have important implications for sawn timber production, particularly of the higher grades. This review of the literature considers growth stresses under three major headings: the nature of growth stresses; manifestations of growth stresses; and methods of reducing the undesirable effects of growth stresses.

In particular the study looked at jarrah, blackbutt, spotted gum, Victorian ash and Tasmanian oak.
