Growers Research Advisory Committee (GRAC)

The Forest Growers Research Program at FWPA drives innovation and productivity across Australia’s plantation and native forest sectors by investing in research that delivers direct, measurable benefits to growers.

Growers Research Advisory Committee (GRAC)

Guided by the Growers Research Advisory Committee (GRAC) and shaped by input from industry leaders, the program focuses on priority areas such as improved genetics, silviculture, forest health, sustainability, and adaptation to a changing climate.

By fostering collaboration between researchers, forest companies, and government agencies, FWPA ensures projects are industry-led, scientifically robust, and commercially relevant—helping growers reduce costs, increase yields, and enhance long-term forest value.

The ultimate goal is to double the value of Australia’s commercial forests by 2040 through smarter investment, shared knowledge, and world-leading research outcomes.

Grower Research Investment Plans

The FWPA Investment Plans were developed in consultation with Australia’s commercial forest growers to inform collaborative investment in RD&E activities and identify priority topics as the key targets for investment.
