About JVAP
The Joint Venture Agroforestry Program (JVAP) was a nationally significant Research, Development and Extension (RD&E) partnership established in 1993 between the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC), Land & Water Australia (LWA) and Forest & Wood Products Australia (FWPA).
Over 15 years, the program invested approximately $29 million in collaborative research to improve the profitability, sustainability and resilience of Australian farming systems through the strategic integration of trees into agricultural landscapes.
JVAP generated a substantial body of knowledge across agroforestry, farm forestry, biodiversity, carbon sequestration, salinity management, water resources, woody crops, markets and regional development, while helping to shape policy and practice nationally.
This archive brings together 201 JVAP reports, preserving an important legacy of research that continues to inform land management, agroforestry and forest industry development across Australia
