FWPA Rotation of External Auditor
FWPA has an external independent audit conducted each financial year to comply with its registered status as an Australian Public Company, Limited by Guarantee.
The Australian Charities and Not-for-Profit Commission (ACNC) is our regulatory body and our Financial Statements, featuring Independent Audit Declaration, are required for completion of lodgement of the ACNC Annual Information Statement.
RSM Australia has held the position of FWPA’s Independent External Auditor for an extended period.
It is standard practice to rotate the Auditor Appointment on a periodic basis. The purpose of the rotation is to ensure that a fresh objective review of the financials is regularly occurring and to promote independence.
Following an application process, Accru Melbourne has been selected as an appropriately qualified practitioner to the position of FWPA’s Independent External Auditor and will replace RSM Australia.
The Board and Executive thank RSM Australia for their diligence and service to FWPA.
