The primary objective was to establish a database of eucalypt species trials in Australia, of known genetic and silvicultural history, that may be available for future research studies related to solid wood processing and products. These trials may be present in plantations or eucalypt regrowth stands. Having this valuable information in a web based system with appropriate security restrictions enables researchers to search the database, identify potential trials for further studies and increase industry opportunity to maximise returns on trial investments.
The ESTR database is pass-word accessed through a web browser.
