Australia and Sweden and Innovation in Wood

Webinar held Wednesday 25th February, 2015, presented by David Bylund, University of Western Australia.

David is a registered Architect in Western Australia. He has a PhD from UWA where he investigated the Swedish and Australian Timber Construction Sectors and developed a nail laminated timber panel  using low grade Radiata Pine.

In addition to his on going timber based research activities, he teaches architecture students about timber through the Learn by Making method. As an architect and timber construction researcher, David will present his view on the Swedish and Australian timber construction sectors.

Several innovative residential, commercial and civic buildings from Sweden will be discussed along with key findings from his PhD that discuss Australia’s continued expansion into engineered timber building systems.
