Webinar recording: Thursday 26th June 2014.
Presented by Keith Nicholls, Exova Group Limited. In relation to building fire safety, the Building Code of Australia (BCA) stipulates requirements for the use of materials. This webinar will briefly describe the prescriptive deemed-to-satisfy (DtS) fire safety requirements contained in the BCA. It covers the research that led to changes in the BCA to allow 3 story Class 3 (hotel, motel) developments, the use of combustible cladding on commercial buildings, the approach to using fire engineering techniques beyond DtS provision though to the recently released bushfire calculator.
