In 2009, consumers, builders and retailers attitudes to timber products were investigated in two project for FWPA titled; Increased Market Applications for Timber Decking: (PNA1340809) and Timber Product Opportunities in the House Remodelling Market (PNA1230809). These reports made recommendations to the timber industry on how increase timber specification and use can be achieved through their marketing or product offer as well as identified areas that needed work on. This webinar will review the findings from these two projects and explore what has changed since the reports were completed. Some time will also be spent on examples of success.

Andrew Dunn is Chief Executive for the Timber Development Association. Andrew has 28 years experience in the building industry, with the last 23 years within the timber sector. He has a Civil/Structural Engineering degree from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Timber Engineering from Central Queensland University. Mr Dunn represents the industry on a numerous Australian Standards being Timber Framing, Bushfire, Termites control, Design Loads, Plasterboard installation, and Earth Retaining Structures. He has extensive knowledge in fire and sound timber framed technology as well as more recently involved in the introduction of cross laminated timber and post stressed timber building systems.
